Edgelands
This installation is over 3 metres long and is made up of multiple pieces some of which have been years in the collecting and making.
The concept underlying this work is whether in the post Anthropocene wastelands new lifeforms will emerge from our detritus.
In this work hard and soft materials interact which serves as a metaphor for the structure of animal life on earth - hence skin and bones .
Many found materials have collided in this work such as a car tyre, golfballs, rusty metal, old mattress springs, bones, string, fabric, barbed wire and fishing weights etc.
