In 2022 I started to make miniature artworks with a feminist theme in response to call outs from The House of Smalls Gallery as the feminist themes of the exhibitions held there resonated with my current art practice. I am drawn to the dollhouse for its domestic and childhood association and connotations and these miniature artworks often act as maquettes for future full-scale artwork offering me a way to explore new themes quickly. I am always amazed how 'full- sized" the tiny artworks look when they are photographed in situ.
